Cover Designs, Colours & Personalisation

What personalisation options are available?
We offer a wide variety of designs, colours, finishes and styles, so you can choose a cover that suits you and reflects your personality. Ask your orthopedic clinic about the available models, colours and finishes.
Can the cover be made to resemble my healthy leg?
Yes, absolutely! One of ADDDITION’s main goals is to make both legs look as symmetrical as possible. That’s why we design our covers to achieve a natural, anatomical appearance that closely resembles your healthy leg.
What models, colours and finishes are available?
We offer a range of more than 6 models, 25 colours and 3 finishes — matte, glossy and satin. Your orthopedic clinic can show you the available options so you can choose the cover that you like best and that suits your style.
Can I personalise my cover with designs, graphics or logos?
If you’re looking for a unique, personalised design, we can create one for you at an additional cost. Ask your orthopedic clinic for more information.

How Can I Order a Cover?

How do I order my cover?
ADDDITION sells exclusively through orthopedic clinics. Please contact your trusted orthopedic technician to place your order. Your clinic will be able to explain the available options and delivery times.
Can I order a cover if my amputation is recent?
Yes, but we recommend waiting, as you may need to change or adjust some components of your prosthesis in the near future.
If I already have one of your covers, can I order another one in a different model and colour?
Yes, of course! Many people with limb loss eventually have several covers for different occasions. To place another order, simply visit your trusted orthopedic clinic and tell them which new options you’d like for your cover. In just a few weeks, it will be ready to pick up and use.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery times may vary depending on the level of personalisation, but manufacturing and shipping normally take 1–3 weeks.

Fitting the Cover to Your Prosthesis

How is the cover attached to the prosthesis?
Our covers are designed to be fitted to the prosthesis in just a few minutes. Most require no special tools or advanced manual skills. Our covers consist of two pieces: a front and a back. The front piece has a specific attachment designed for each prosthetic knee or for a particular component of the cover. The back piece attaches to the front using powerful neodymium magnets or screws.
Can I fit the cover myself?
Yes! All our covers are designed to be easy to fit. We also provide videos and guides to help you through the process. You can easily remove and store your cover when you don’t need it on your prosthesis, for example when going swimming in a pool or the sea.
Is the cover compatible with electronic and mechanical knees and other prosthetic components?
Yes. Our covers are compatible with electronic knees as well as mechanical knees by leading manufacturers, including Ottobock, Össur, Blatchford, BrainRobotics, Proteor and Nabtesco. Our order form includes a list of the knees our covers are compatible with. Ask your orthopedic clinic for more information.

Cleaning, Daily Use & Maintenance

How should I clean my cover?
Clean it with a soft cloth and water or a damp wipe. Avoid using abrasive products or solvents, as they may damage the paint on the cover.
Is the cover water-resistant?
If your cover gets wet from rain or water splashes, simply dry it with a cloth. However, we do not recommend completely submerging the cover in fresh or salt water, as some components or the paint may be damaged.
How long will my cover last?
Its lifespan will depend mainly on how you use and care for it, but it is designed to withstand everyday use for many years. The material is highly durable, so over time, the main signs of wear are likely to be paint wear caused by daily friction with clothing — especially tight-fitting jeans — or occasional knocks against furniture or during activities such as going to the gym. But don’t worry: if the paint becomes worn, you notice scratches, or you simply get tired of the colour and want a change, we offer several options for repainting your cover and making it look like new again. Contact your orthopedic clinic for more information.
What care does my cover require?
Very little. We recommend cleaning it regularly and checking that it remains securely attached to the prosthesis. Avoid strong impacts and kneeling on hard surfaces such as concrete, as this will help preserve the paint and colour for longer. If you have any questions, please contact your trusted orthopedic clinic.
Can I wear my cover every day?
Yes, absolutely! Our covers are designed to accompany you in your everyday life. In fact, many of the people with limb loss who contact us tell us that once they put on a cover, they never want to take it off — or go back to another cosmetic solution for their prosthesis. And because our covers are so easy to put on and remove, some people even have several covers for different occasions or gradually build a collection over the years.
Does the cover affect movement or comfort?
No. Our covers are designed to integrate with your prosthesis without interfering with its function or your comfort. And because they are very lightweight, you won’t feel that you’re carrying additional weight when wearing your prosthesis with your own style.

Cover Repairs & Warranty

What should I do if my cover is damaged?
Contact your orthopedic clinic as soon as possible. Together, we’ll assess the damage and offer you the best solution as quickly as possible, so you don’t have to be without your cover for longer than necessary. We can also confirm whether the damage is covered by the warranty.
Can the cover be repaired?
In many cases, yes. Depending on the type of damage, we may be able to repair the cover or recommend a replacement. Your orthopedic clinic will need to send it to us so that we can assess it.
Can my cover be repainted?
Yes. We can repaint your cover to make it look like new again, either in the same colours or with a completely new combination. We can also advise you on other painting options that may be more suitable for you. Contact your orthopedic clinic for more information.
What does the cover warranty cover?
Our warranty covers manufacturing defects. Damage caused by improper use or accidents is not covered. The paint is not covered by the warranty, as normal wear and tear depends on factors such as daily use, the type of clothing you wear and the small knocks that can inevitably occur during everyday life.
How can I request a repair or replacement?
Simply contact the orthopedic clinic where you ordered your cover. We will coordinate with them to manage the repair or replacement.

What happens if my order arrives damaged?
It hasn’t happened to us so far, but if your package arrives damaged, your technician will let us know as soon as it is received so that we can assess the condition of the cover and find the best solution. If the cover needs to be repaired or replaced, we’ll do so as quickly as possible so that you can receive it in perfect condition. We work with trusted shipping companies and use specially designed packaging to protect the cover as much as possible during transport. However, we know that unexpected things can happen. The important thing is that you can rely on us to take care of the solution.
